On my way to Australia in October of 1998 I stopped for a few days in California to visit a friend who lived in Santa Monica. We took a day trip with two other friends to Joshau Tree National Park, a few hours east of Los Angeles. It is a very popular rock climbing area and that was our goal for the days we spent there. This image is of my friend Ian, at right, and his two friends who's names I regrettably can't remember now.
