One of the more adventurous things we did while passing through Arizona on our way home from California was to hike the Grand Canyon. We decided to take the far western path down to the Colorado River known as "Hermit Trail." We spent three days and two nights in total in the canyon and joined a few other hikers in another group for our trudge back up to the rim. I could write a few funny anecdotes about our mishaps on that hike but that's another story for another day.
