In my early years of film work when I was studying photograph at Ryerson University in Toronto I was given assignments to shoot various types of images and "graphics" was often in the list of topics. It opened up my visual creativity to try and see various scenes in a more abstract and interesting way. Light, shade, lines and texture and composition all gelled into place. I began to see the beauty of simpler things in the world around us. These images are a few examples of that early work.
