I don't remember who in my climbing team took this image of me, but this is me at the summit of Denali, Alaska, the highest mountain in North America. The small disc screwed into the mountain at my right knee is a marker that denotes the geographical position of the summit. We were told by our lead guide Vernan Tejas that it was put into the mountain top in 1983. He knew it was screwed into the summit that year because he was the one who screwed it into the mountain.
