Looking up ski hill on Denali, Alaska, the highest mountain in North America
This is "Motorcycle Hill" on Denali, Alaska, the highest mountain in North America. It was here, only a day earlier, that four Japanese climbers perished in an avalanche. The results of the slide can be seen to the right of the hiss where the lone climber stands. Other climbers can be seen proceeding past the tragic spot on their way to higher camps and eventually the summit. The Japanese climbers bodies were not found in the snow and they remained buried where they fell.
