Graphic image of water rivulets through a sandy beach
I visited Christian Island in Georgian Bay Ontario in the summer of 2013. While walking the beach with my then girlfriend I stepped over many small rivulets of water flowing out from the shrubs at the high edge of the beach down the slope through the sand into the waters of Georgian Bay. I noticed the texture of the sand and saw slight colours glinting in the slanted sun. I hand held the camera to expose a number of different sections of the beach for three images each in high dynamic range exposures. I later post processed the images and combined the single images to bring out detail in the shadows and highlights and then over saturated the colours to give the images a surreal graphic look. This is one of the results.
