2023 marked my sixth year in a row attending "Burning Man" in Black Rock City Nevada. This event will be on my yearly calendar until my fingernails stop growing. Although the rain interfered with the initial build of the city infrastructure and the mid week continuation of the festivities it did not dampen the sprits of the participants in any way. "Burners are Burners" and we simply rallied through the muck and inconvenience to enjoy the theme camps and mutant art cars and art pieces out on the playa in a different way. As always, I was torn between wanting to photograph this "photographers paradise" and wanting to not just put my camera down, but put it away so I could enjoy the event for what it was. Without a doubt this year I shot by far the fewest number of images of any year I'd attended. I present to you a mere 16 images. Do I regret not having worked harder to capture more of the shenanigans? Not for a second. I was part of the shenanigans... and nobody needs to see any of the images of that. lol.
