The Temple at Burning man is a shrine for participants to use to place memorabilia of loved ones lost in the previous year(s). It is a place where participants can quietly grieve, meditate, and reflect upon their loss. The burning of the Temple on Sunday night is meant to give closure to this loss. Unlike the Burning of the Man on Saturday night with cheering and revelry, the burning of the Temple on Sunday night is a sombre event.
