The Gallipoli display in the Te Papa Tongarera Museum of Wellington New Zealand
These one and a half times sized recreations from Gallipoli battle scenes of World War One were on display at the Te Papa Tongarera museum in Wellington New Zealand when we passed through the city. I was awestruck at the realism of the mannequins and the lifelike poses of the battle scenes. There was an incredible amount of information to read about this tragic battle of the war that was fought to an eventual stalemate. The Australians and New Zealanders finally retreated, sailed away from the coast and abandoned the peninsula back to the Turks.
