I spent two weeks on a tour boat called the "Galavan" in the Galapagos islands of Ecuador sailing from island to island. During one of the evenings the crew lit up the ocean surrounding the boat with bright lights to attract flying fish. The intent was to attract Galapagos sharks which feed on the flying fish. The lights of the boat were insufficient to be able to shoot with so I used my portable flash to capture images of the sharks. The lighting created a unique sparkling effect around the sharks.
