At the annual July 4th Leon Iowa rodeo the kids have their own events and one of them is the "calf busting" event. The rules are similar to the adult bull riding event in that the kids need to stay on the calf for at least eight seconds and keep their free hand from touching either the calf or themselves. Undoubtedly one of these kids will be the next bull riding champion.
