I started using a camera to capture images of the world in "the film years" of the art. I have several decades of images that were compiled during those years that needed to be "reformatted" to the digital era. Every image you see in this film section of my web site has been digitally scanned from my archive of slides and negatives. That was an arduous task that I picked away at in my spare time over the course of a year and a half. Some of my oldest negatives and slides had shifted colour considerably over the years and had acquired dust spots and cracks in the emulsion rendering them almost unusable. Every image in this gallery required considerable post processing to bring it back to a presentable condition. I'm glad that I took the time to do this as given a few more years many of these images would likely have not been recoverable and the memories they hold would have been lost to the ages. Now they are preserved in digital form to survive the passage of time unscathed.
